Two Day Intensive Workshop Focused on Eating Disorder Recovery

in collaboration with the Looking Glass Foundation
Emotion Focused Family Therapy Workshop for Caregivers
This Weekend: June 21 & 22
Research suggests that recovery from an eating disorder is more likely when caregivers are involved in specific ways. Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT) is an innovative treatment model that was developed to train families to support their loved one through the recovery of an eating disorder. Along with offering tangible skills for parents/spouses/adult family members to fully engage in the process (by learning to be recovery and emotion coaches), EFFT balances empathy and compassion with firm limits that support symptom interruption, relationship repair, and behavioural change.
SKILLS YOU WILL LEAVE WITH:
Caregivers will become equipped with a deeper understanding of emotion basics, meal support, and the nuts and bolts of EFFT.
The workshop will include focus on caregiver education through live and video demonstration as well as skills practice.
